Vocento is a leading media group in Spain thanks to the power of its brands, with a major presence in all sectors of entertainment and information including the digital and print press, supplements and magazines, radio, television, audiovisual production and digital areas (classifieds, e-commerce and other initiatives).
VOCENTO has consolidated its undisputed leadership of the general press sector with a market share of circulation of 24.8%, more than 10 p.p. more than the number two media group. It is also the leader in readership, according to the 3rd EGM survey of 2015, with more than 2.5 million readers, around one million readers more than the number two group. It is a leader on the Internet with around 18 million unique monthly users according to comScore (December 2015).
The national, regional and local positioning of Vocento enables the Company to reach further than its competitors, with coverage of over 30 million people per month, according to the Estudio General de Medios.
Vocento’s flagship is the national daily ABC, with over 110 years of history and a leading Spanish opinion-former.
In the regional market, Vocento’s newspapers are leaders in their print versions and also online. Of the eleven titles, nine are absolute leaders of regional newspaper circulation in their region and the other two are in the second position. The digital portals of the newspapers are all in leading positions in their regions.
Vocento publishes the two most read supplements in Spain.
In the financial segment, the magazine Inversión y Finanzas is the leader in kiosk sales in Spain, and celebrated its 1,000 edition in 2015.
VOCENTO is present and active in today’s new technological reality and is a pioneer in the use of new technologies, both to develop new businesses and to set up the internal infrastructure needed to optimize its positioning. It is working in a series of areas to accelerate its digital growth, including understanding user behaviour, developing digital platforms and vehicles, developing products and services which adapt to the new reality, or carrying out research and development at VOCENTO Media Lab. This effort is complemented by a classified advertising network unique in Spain, with a specialist team and a completely customer-centred focus.
VOCENTO has a presence in the audiovisual market, with a national DTT licence which enables it to broadcast two channels, regional DTT licences, a network of radio licences, shareholdings in content producers and the management of a catalogue of film rights.
In accordance with the P&L expressed in terms of sustainability, using the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) framework, in 2015 there was a positive level of retained value after meeting all the company’s obligation.

The seven sectors which contributed most to advertising revenues remained basically the same in both years, both in terms of each sector’s contribution and the total, with a small increase of 0.7% in the total contribution in 2015.
In order to increase the amount of transparency about our Independence as a media company, the following information details the total volumes of revenues received by Vocento from IBEX 35 companies and the public sector (including national, regional and local institutions).
The Public Sector represented 6.77% of total revenues in 2015, up by 1.06 p.p.
The proportion contributed by IBEX 35 companies declined by 0.18 p.p. to 5.34%.
